Corded lace is an extremely elegant quality and is made by outlining details of a lace using a heaver or lustrous cording. All products are in stock and ready to ship.
This magnificent type of lace was originally made exclusively in northern France but is now made all over the world. Originally known as Alencon lace, it is formed by high lighting details in the pattern using a cord, which gives these laces a slightly textured look.
The cording itself can be very fine and delicate, highlighting the motifs in the design of the lace. Alternatively, the cording can be heavier and add a three dimensional quality. This an also make the handle of the lace heavier. We have a superlative range of corded bridal lace from traditional floral designs to contemporary patterns for the modern bride.
